Urban Photography is the more spontaneous compared to other types e.g. fashion. It's not as constructed and less planned. It might only have a photographer whereas fashion photographer has a team e.g. make up artists, a lighting crew and multiple models - you need a studio but urban is based in the streets and is taken in the moment. Ronya may edit her photos after taking them, either by adding filters. She may crop the photos so the audience capture the moments she wanted you to see. As you can see below she is a fan of monochrome. Over the years urban photography has grown hugely and is highly popular amongst the younger generation.
Below are pictures from Google search when I typed in 1990 urban photography. As you can see monochrome is still hugely used but the images are more innocent. I feel like the meaning urban has changed over the years. Urban to me is seeing the beauty in the ugly. For example the red post box has graffiti and posters over it but in the background you see London. So its the ugly in the beautiful and this makes it a special picture. Same as the first its a couple sitting in a grotty doorway but kissing. I think the pictures tell a powerful story comparing them to the 1900 pictures. Ronya is a starting out photographer so promoting her work online is very important as it gets her noticed by client's. Her work is all over google search and I think she is known for her urban work. Every photographer wants their photos protected because its theirs and they don't want it used anywhere else without there permission.
In my own urban photography pictures i tried to keep to the tell a story theme. I feel like using monochrome like Royna uses really added emotion to the pictures. I feel it made the London eye and natural history museum look sad and adds more depth. I think out of all the other photography pictures i took this was the easiest ; it was less restricting and i had more freedom.
